At such a sad and stressful time, it can be particularly difficult to find the words to express how you feel and what you want to say.

 

So, in addition to any personal tributes or dedications made by friends and family, and the Officiant's main address, it can be comforting to include a relevant poem or reading.

 

As you can imagine, grief and loss are common subjects for creative expression and many writers and poets' work can be found in libraries and of course, online. Often, entering a simple search term such as 'funeral poems for dad' or 'funeral readings for a grandma' etc. can yield an extensive array of possible readings for consideration.

 

Alternatively, we are always happy to help you find an appropriate piece, or to find and make suggestions to you. Both Caroline and Mia have a rich background in literature (and music) and we're more than happy to help you find your way through when your mind is perhaps not as clear as usual.
